Horrific incident!

A friend's son studying in a reputed institute tried to slit his palm (after studying the anatomy of palm completely, managed the slit not to hurt the arteries & veins!!!) just to avoid appearing for exams; Questioned his mom "Am I that stupid to hurt the functionality of my hand?" Couldn't believe it. Intelligence leads to perversion!!! Mom is worried that she'll be picturized as "over-ambitious" to put pressure on her son - fair enough!!! Where to draw the line between motivation and pressure? Who'll define?
